The tea industry was introduced to Sri Lanka (formerly known as Ceylon) in 1867 by a Briton, James Taylor. Sri Lanka is now the forth largest producer of tea in the world and is often the largest exporter of tea. Tea now accounts for 2% of Sri Lanka's GDP & employs over 1 million people.

Directions:

Boil water to 90c - Or boil the jug & let cool for about 5 mins
Use 1 tsp per teacup (200ml) - 1 heaped tsp per mug
Steep tea for 3 minutes - Can steep for up to 5 mins
If a stronger brew is required use more tea
