Hi, You're receiving this email because {name} thinks the Irish Breakfast would interest you. This is a robust and slightly spicy blend of different Assam blacks teas. A few of the leaves are Cut, Torn, Curled and Broken (CTC BOP) This process produces a larger surface area which creates a smooth yet full flavoured brew.

Assam in Northern India was the first area to produce tea outside of China. The teas from the region became immensely popular in Europe possibly due to their naturally strong flavours which brew well in hard or poor quality water. As the black teas from the Assam region were becoming available in Europe (from 1860 onwards) Ireland was begining to consume more tea on a daily basis. Therefore a taste for Assam teas was cultivated in Ireland and is still the preferred tea in the region.

Directions:
Warm the teapot and tea cups
Use fresh water - Better still use spring or filtered water
Boil water to 90c - Or boil the jug & let cool for about 5 mins
Use 1 tsp per teacup (200ml) - 1 heaped tsp per mug
Steep tea for 3 minutes - Can steep for up to 5 mins
If a stronger brew is required use more tea

Best drunk with milk and can be sweetened with sugar or honey, or if you are feeling a little decadent sweeten it with sweetened condensed milk.
