Master-potter Andersson, and master-glazier Johansson started manufacturing stoneware in Höganäs almost 100 years ago, and their company has now become one of the most well-known ceramics producers around the globe.
Since the 19th century, the clay for the vessels and jugs has been taken from the foot of Kullaberg, just outside Höganäs. Models were originally kept simple and there were few variations, but over the years more and more shapes and different glaze colours have come into use, for which Hoganas Keramik is now famous.
