This design classic was created by Nils Landberg in 1957. The original designs of this collection have been complemented over time by the addition of new glasses. These designs were dictated by Illusion customers, who were wanting to broaden their glasses collection but were unwilling to cast aside this lovely collection.

To satisfy this desire, Olle Alberius produced designs for Burgundy and water glasses in the 1980s. Even more recently however, the demand has been for bowls designed expressly to enhance the bouquet and flavour of the wine, and once again it was time to rejuvenate the series. Malin Lindahl, who has a strong feeling both for glass tableware design and for the history of Orrefors, was thus assigned the task of creating two new glasses.

The original collection has thus been thoughtfully and gracefully complimented over time, in order to retain the class and elegance of the original collection and to fulfill the needs of the modern connoisseur.

Claret is effectively the smaller version of the Goblet. It retains the beauty of the fine crystal and elegant stem. Perfect for wedding or engagement gifts.
