Candle Holders & Lamps
The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Factory was founded in Denmark in 1775, under the patronage of Queen Juliane Marie. A converted post office in the centre of Copenhagen was the site where the Danish chemist Frantz Henrich Muller and a team of artisans began producing the blue dinnerware that has become the factory's mark of distinction.Cobalt was the most economic colour, and the only one that could withstand the intense heat required to fuse the porcelain paste to the glaze.
Today, Royal Copenhagen has expanded its collection to include contemporary, innovative designs from renowned designers, as well as retain its reputation for, and range of classically beautiful porcelain.
