Stelton Oil Lamp, EM Clear Glass
These stunning oil lamps are designed by Erik Magnussen, one of Stelton's lamp designers extraordinaire! His designs have been awarded many design prizes and it is not hard to see why with designs such as these.
The wick sits quite low in these oil lamps and the design is less ornamental than some of Magnussen's other lamp designs. The clear glass looks stunning with the stainless steel, and it is a nice change to be able to clearly see the flame. Magnussen's designs have been awarded prizes and been exhibited in museums throughout the world. He received the Lunning Prize in 1967 and the Furniture Prize in 1977. In 1983 he was chosen "designer of the year" by the Danish Design Council and his products have several times received the ID-prize by the Danish Society of Industrial Design. Erik Magnussen received the Bindesbøll Medal in 1996 and he has received grants from the Ole Haslund Fund, the Royal Jueweller A. Michelsen's Anniversary Fund and Knud V. Engelhardt's Memorial Fund.
