Close to four decades after the first Birds, Iittala presents new colourful pieces by Anu Penttinen. Born 1974 in Helsinki, her work has already received worldwide media recognition. Birds by Anu Penttinen are playfully inspired by the world of art. The collection includes six unique characters with different personalities to suit the young or young at heart. Each of Anu’s wonderful birds have a charming name of its own, chosen with care to suit its personality. Anu Pennttinen has described her birds as ‘City Chicks’ and said they are most at home in urban centres! We suspect any household with a sense of humour, love of colour and life is where these darling little numbers would love to live!
