'Moomins' is one of the Finnish ceramic company Arabia's best-selling product lines. Moomins is a collection of mugs, bowls and plates all decorated with the loveable and easily recognisable Moomin figures.

These figures first appeared as characters in the artist and author Tove Jansson's picture books, originally published over sixty years ago. The stories follow the lives of the Moomins in the safe and secure Moomin Valley, which is surrounded by a scary and dangerous forest. This forest is inhabited by creatures like Stinkys and Grokes, which are highly threatening to the Moomins.
Moominmamma is the pillar of the family and has an answer or remedy for every possible question and complaint. She loves making magic potions according to her grandmother's recipe as well as picking currants over Moominpappa's hat.

Jansson's books were and still are enjoyed by both children and adults alike; by children, for their cute pictures and magical characters, and by adults, for the wide reaching issues that the stories raised.

The mugs are a good size and the handle is large enough for a comfortable, adult hold.
