Black Dragon Formosa Oolong
Soft and light flavour. Beautiful vibrant colour. Aroma is a pleasant dried fauna.
Oolong is made from the same plant as green tea and black tea. It is fermented longer than green tea but not as long as black tea. The whole leaves are dried and rolled and when steeped they unfold while releasing their flavour. Flavours of Oolong range from spicy, smokey to soft and flowery. The colour ranges from bright yellow to vibrant orange.
Warm the teapot and teacups
Use fresh water- better still use spring or filtered water
Water temperature 90c - Or boil the jug & let cool for about 5 mins
Use 1 tsp per teacup (200ml) - 1 heaped tsp per mug
Steep tea for 1 minute, throw out brew
Re-steep tea leaves for 2 minutes
Can re-steep tea leaves up to 5 times on the same day. Add another minute to steeping time for each brew.
If a stronger brew is required use more tea
Traditionally drunk on it's own. May add a little sugar or honey.
