A lovely combination a black tea mixed with garden flower petals.
Between 1850 & 1880 various tea gardens (tea cafes) opened around New Zealand. The tea gardens were a perfect enviroment for women to meet, like Kate Sheppard to talk about her liberating ideas. These tea gardens facilitated a world first. New Zealand in 1893 passed the right for woman to vote.
Directions
Warm the teapot and teacups
Use fresh water- better still use spring or filtered water
Water temperature 90c - Or boil the jug & let cool for about 5 mins
Use 1 tsp per teacup (200ml) - 1 heaped tsp per mug
Steep tea for 3 minutes
If a stronger brew is required use more tea
May add milk and, or sugar.
Composition: Black tea, cornflowers, sunflowers, rose petals, natural flavour.
