Possibly one the most loved native birds in New Zealand. The Kereru is the only native bird that is big enough to swallow and disperse the fruit of the larger native trees like karaka, miro, tawa and tarire.

The Kereru won New Zealand Bird of the Year in 2018. Voting is in apx October/November every year and is always an exciting and heavily competed contest.

The Kereru sparkly decoration was introduced in 2019. 

This decoration is made of fabric, sequins, beads and coloured metallic threads. It is nice and light for posting. If you need to send some for gifts we can do it for you.
