New Zealand, Hanging Birds, Hanging NZ Sparkly Decorations
Description
The Tieke sparkly decoration was introduced in 2026.
Conservation status. At risk. Surviving relict populations in pest-free zones. Was once abundant and widespread across the country before introduced pests arrived, such as ship rats.
The Tieke is one of five New Zealand songs birds and has been recorded singing over 200 different songs. Tieke are cavity nesters, which make them easy prey for introduced pests. Tieke only survive in areas where pest have been completely eradicated or at zero density. Tieke love foraging around fallen leaf matter, so can easily be sighted at pest free sanctuaries around New Zealand.
This decoration is made of fabric, sequins, beads and coloured metallic threads. It is nice and light for posting. If you need to send them internationally we can do it for you. Handy information - The cost to send multiple NZ Bird sparkly decorations to the same international address is the same as sending 1x.
