Tisane Studio Tea
The first flush (first pick of the season) tea is currently being picked in the highlands of the Darjeeling province in West Begal, India. Once the first flush has been dried it will be air-freighted to New Zealand for arrival late June. Darjeeling black tea is known as the champagne of teas. It is a light delicate tea that is drunk without milk. Only 10 tonnes of Darjeeling black tea is produced every year, yet 40 tonnes of Darjeeling black tea is sold annually. Therefore we have insured our Darjeeling black teas are certified. All our teas have been quality tested in Europe and comply with all European standards for chemical and pesticide residues. A lot of our teas are organically and/or ethically grown. There are no artificial colours or flavours added to any teas in the Tisane Studio collection.
