Description
The Moreprk / Ruru is New Zealand's only surviving native endemic owl. Ruru are vulnerable to secondary poisoning from pest control operations. Studies are being done to see in pest control programs can be moved to a season when Ruru are not hunting rodents.The Ruru has never won the Bird of the Year. Voting is in apx October/November every year and is always an exciting and heavily competed contest.
This Ruru sparkly decoration was introduced in 2021. It replaces the Ruru sparkly decoration which was introduced in 2018.
This decoration is made of fabric, sequins, beads and coloured metallic threads. It is nice and light for posting. If you need to send them internationally we can do it for you.
